A master's job is never done, it lives on through the ages.

The Annual Installation of Officers was held on December 15, 2001. The Installing Team was James Jake Marshall PM, Installing Officer, Gordon Speiser PM, Master of Ceremonies, and Ralph T. Enloe Jr. PM, Installing Chaplain. Refreshments were served in the dining hall following the Installation.

In January the newly installed officer's hit the ground running with degree work. Also Bro. C. David Jenkins was elected to the position of Management Board President. Bro's Ralph T. Enloe Jr. PM and Gerald A. Sharer PM were both elected to the office's of Senior and Junior Wardens respectfully. Bro. John Kitchel received his second degree on a Saturday morning. Bro Kitchel was at the time stationed in San Diego in the Armed Forces, but wanted to join the Lodge where his uncle, Bro. Perry Smith, was a member.

The new Wardens were installed in the month of February. At a double first degree on the 21st of February, newly installed Junior Warden Gerald Sharer collapsed in the East and the jewels were broken so that the emergency workers could attend to Bro. Sharer. After s short time in the hospital he was released and was fine. There were also a double second degree later in the month.

At the March Stated Meeting, new Clovis Lodge Management Board President, Bill Lyons, gave a report with some of the work that needed to be performed around the Lodge. At the Annual Cambria trip, Bro. Kitchel received his third degree with the assistance of the brother's of San Simeon Lodge 196. There was a tri-tip lunch served in between the degree and there were presentations afterwards.

On April 19th, Clovis Lodge had a reception for it's own Leroy J. Foote PM, who was serving this year as Grand Marshall for the Grand Lodge of California under the direction Of Grand Master C. Ray Whitaker. The house was packed that night and all had a great time.

The month of May brought us a new coat of paint in the Lodge room and they Past Master Night was held at the end of the month. Bro. Herb Spencer received his degree from the Past Master's of Clovis Lodge, unbeknownst to Bro. Spencer and most other people, he probably got the best degree of the year. hehehe

After a heated debate in the stated meeting of June, the Lodge decided to have the beautiful stained glass windows in the Lodge room restored. The work was carried out in the summer months while the Lodge was dark.

In July the Fresno Scottish Rite once again held the Mason of the Year program. The Mason of the Year for Clovis Lodge was none other than our Tiler, James Tanner. Many were on hand to witness the festivities.

September brought more degree work, the lodge performed eight degrees in the month. There were so many new people running around there we were losing track of who was who.

There year began winding down in November and elections were held for the new officers. A report was given from the Shrine Public Relations member, who announced that 5,699 children had been ID at the Big Fresno Fair and that Clovis Lodge played a big part in that number.

In December there was the annual Roll Call Dinner where honor was paid to our departed brethren lost in this year. They were, George Everett Gouge, Jr., Avon (Red) Charles Reyburn PM, Charles Oakley Turner, Donald Sears Boyd, George Delos Hall, Robert Jones Winburn, Gene Fred Harker, Charles Morris Waggoner, Claude Beverly Allyn, Edward Samuel Boydston, Nolan Luther Fine, Curtis Dean Matthes, Raymond Thomas Rhodes, and Wilburn Leon Schuble.
